Which American hip-hop group released the 1986 debut album Licensed to Ill, the first rap record to reach number one on the Billboard 200?

The Beastie Boys

Licensed to Ill featured hits like "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" and helped bring hip-hop to a mainstream audience. The group eventually transitioned from their early frat-boy image to more experimental, sample-heavy production.
