Who created the television series "The Simpsons"?

Matt Groening

Matt Groening named the characters after his own family members, though he swapped his own name for 'Bart,' which is an anagram of 'brat.' The characters are famously yellow so that they would catch the attention of channel surfers flicking through TV stations.
