Show answer
The Lord of the Rings
Filmed entirely in New Zealand, this trilogy used over 48,000 pieces of prosthetic armor and 10,000 facial prosthetics to bring Middle-earth to life. It remains one of the most ambitious film projects ever, with all three movies filmed simultaneously.
