Which Beatles song holds the record for being the most covered song in history, despite the melody famously coming to Paul McCartney in a dream?

Yesterday

Paul McCartney has said the melody of “Yesterday” came to him in a dream; thinking it might be an old tune, he asked others if they recognized it before claiming it as his own. The Beatles’ official site reports more than 2,200 cover versions, making it one of the most covered songs in recorded-music history.
