Question of the Day #44 · May 6, 2026
In the original 13 rules of basketball written by James Naismith, players were strictly forbidden from doing what with the ball?
Show answer
Running with the ball
Naismith’s original game required players to pass the ball from the spot where they caught it instead of carrying it down the court. That restriction made early basketball fundamentally different from the dribble-driven sport played today.
