Which species of predator has existed for roughly 400 million years, making them 90 million years older than trees?

Sharks

Shark ancestors were swimming in ancient seas long before the first forests appeared on land. Their skeletons are made of cartilage rather than bone, a defining trait shared with rays and skates.
