Who discovered the planet Uranus?

Show answer

William Herschel

William Herschel originally wanted to name the planet 'Georgium Sidus' (George's Star) after King George III. It was the first planet discovered with the use of a telescope, as it is too dim to be easily seen by the naked eye.
