What is the boundary surrounding a black hole beyond which nothing can escape?
Show answer
Event horizon
Once an object crosses the event horizon, the gravitational pull is so strong that even light cannot escape. This makes black holes invisible to traditional telescopes; we only see the matter swirling around them.
