What is the boiling point of pure water at standard atmospheric pressure in Celsius?
Show answer
100°C
While 100°C is the standard, the boiling point actually drops as you go higher in altitude because there is less air pressure. For example, on top of Mount Everest, water boils at only about 68°C.
