Who wrote 'Meditations' in ancient Rome?
Show answer
Marcus Aurelius
Aurelius was a Roman Emperor who wrote these personal reflections as a source of self-guidance and Stoic practice while on military campaigns. Interestingly, the book was never intended for publication and was essentially his private diary on how to live virtuously.
