Which author wrote "The Color Purple"?

Alice Walker

This Pulitzer Prize-winning novel is written in the 'epistolary' style, meaning the story is told through a series of letters. Alice Walker used this format to give a powerful, intimate voice to Celie, a Black woman living in the rural American South in the early 20th century.
