Which German architect founded the Bauhaus school, which sought to unify art, craft, and technology into a single functional aesthetic?

Walter Gropius

Gropius established the school in Weimar in 1919, promoting a "total" work of art where all crafts were brought together. His modernist principles helped shape the International Style and contemporary industrial design.
