What white paint mixture, consisting of a binder mixed with chalk or pigment, is used to prime canvases before painting?
Show answer
Gesso
Traditional gesso is made from animal glue binder and chalk, but most modern artists use 'acrylic gesso,' which is more flexible and does not require a separate sizing layer.
